I hope that makes sense. I would love to someday find myself sitting in the pew with you, sharing this amazing journey. I am sooooo proud of him but his career has broken me in a way I don't know if I can piece back together. And he likes the idea of us raising our daughter with the values the Mormon church instills on their youth. The point is that he should ASK her if this is true for her. The church will be in your bedroom, finances, and all your decisions. I've been married to a cardiologist for 30 years. We met when I was 19 and have been together only the past 4 years but the love has never died. I am active in church, I take my kids regularly, and I have callings. Have been MD in good relationship for 25 years with kids etc but key is that my wife has her own life and works as hard as I do at her own career and isn't caught up in my world.
The church is really good at putting on a happy, wholesome face to show the world, but if you look behind the curtain, you see that it's a despicable cult. We have all felt it and our house seems absolutely different. Thank you so much for your comment. She's a shell of her former self and it breaks by heart to this day. It's so sad to think that people so young will be stuck wearing 19th century undies when they should enjoy their years of being young and stylish. She has to decide for herself what she believes, but you can definitely help expose her to new ideas. While the Church allows dating at 16, it discourages serious relationships until you both are older and considering marriage. And sometimes I think we equate easiness with happiness. But what does it really mean to be a patriarch, to lead your tribe. You will raise the kids by yourself, and he won't help even when he's home because he'll be too tired or feel too entitled to HIS time alone.
